Things to Do in I-City Theme Park Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia
I-City Theme Park of Malaysia is rated among the top 25most brightest and colorful places of the world by CNN travel (2017). A visit to the park confirmed how well it deserved the top ranking. With its various attractions I-City is a good family oriented tourist destination. Like in Sunway Lagoon and in Genting Highland I can bet one day for this I-City theme Park is too less.
i-City Malaysia stands as a premier family park, boasting an array of captivating attractions that promise endless excitement for visitors of all ages. From the enchanting Snowalk and mind-bending Trick Art Museum to the lifelike Red Carpet Wax Museum and exhilarating Space Mission, the park offers a diverse range of experiences to ignite the imagination.
I saw the guests embarking on underwater adventures at the Submarine exhibit, make a splash at the thrilling Waterworld, and marvel at the mesmerizing City of Digital Lights.
Conveniently nestled in Shah Alam, i-City is just a short 30-minute drive from the bustling heart of Kuala Lumpur, making it an easily accessible destination for families and thrill-seekers alike.
Various Attractions in I-City Shah Alam
Snowalk in I-City Theme Park
They have created wonderful Arctic environment with tons and tons of snow. The ice sculptures add special charm to the place in addition to the snow slides. I was told the ice carved creatures were made by 30 ice sculptors from China. They maintain a temperature below 5degrees. For tourists from tropical countries this is their favorite haunt in i-City Leisure Park. It is quite spacious enough to accommodate 800 visitors.
Our first adventure at i-City began with a visit to Snowalk – an enchanting winter wonderland and the largest snow-themed park in Malaysia. Stepping into this chilly realm where temperatures dropped below 5 degrees Celsius, we found ourselves surrounded by a magical world of ice and snow.
As we ventured deeper, we wandered through an icy tunnel, marveling at the intricate ice sculptures adorning the walls. Each step unveiled new wonders – from whimsical ice penguins to breath-taking ice houses, crafted with precision and artistry.
The sensation of stepping into this frozen paradise was exhilarating, and every corner revealed a new spectacle to behold. With each breath, we embraced the crisp air and embraced the enchanting beauty of Snowalk, a truly unforgettable experience.
Water World
This has the usual water rides and games ranging from tame to wild thrilling enough for fun seeking families. However the most exciting one here is the vortex water ride from a steep 160 ft launch tower. It is called the Tornado ride. The steep water tunnel sends 4 tube raft riders hurtling down towards a 7 storey high funnel tilted at 45 degree angle. The rafts oscillate giving the riders a sense of weightlessness. Finally the rafts flow through the tunnel splashing into the landing pool. Water World was added to i-City Leisure Park in 2012.
Fun World
This is for the tiny tots. The entrance looked cute with itsy-bitsy characters. Ideal place for some parent-child bonding! Residents nearby are so lucky I thought. Parents can spend some quality time here with their tiny tots. And such colorful fixtures help children grow a very creative mind.
Red Carpet
This is Malaysia’s one and only one wax museum. It was thrown open for general public and tourists in 2013. The museum showcases all star casts from glamour, power, and politics, strange and wonderful. There are 100 exhibits of world icons, celebrities, sports stars, legends etc. We could step up close to idols and touch the wax exhibits.
City of Digital Lights in I-City Theme Park
When I look back into my childhood memories I recollect the awe with which I admired the well lit Christmas trees. They were lit may be for a week max during Christmas festival. Not satisfied then I had wished many trees to be lit in different colors all around the year. Those demands were brushed away laughingly.
And here I was in the City of Lights! Just like I had seen in my dreams! A jungle of colorful trees, each one different than the other. The jungle is illuminated with over a million LED lights. This outdoor theme park has rides set amidst forest of maples and pines. As you go up the super swing it is mesmerizing to watch the colorfully lit jungle below.
The whole i-City complex is well planned with 32 towers. The towers comprise of shopping centres, corporate offices, residential apartments, medical centres, education houses and many more.

Went to Malaysia three years ago and it’s a shame we haven’t been here! Anyway, next time I’ll stop by here with my kids! They will love it for sure! Princess Diana is so stunning in her white dress, I miss her lovely face but at least here, she can be alive. My kids will surely go crazy in the Snow Walk!
This looks like a great theme park. Unfortunately, we didn’t know about it when we visited Kuala Lumpur. I’d love to see the personalities featured in the wax museum. Looks like a great family-friendly experience.
KL is such an underrated city. You mentioned several things I have not done in the city including the wax museum. So much fun

I love the idea of the Snowalk in a city which probably has never seen the real thing, what a fab idea! That appeals to me much more than traditional fairground rides – it’s good to do & see something different!
What a cool theme park! I, too, would love to wander through a street of lights like the City of Lights. And I can see why the polar area would be appealing to those who never get to see snow!
We rarely visit theme parks anymore. But we do love water parks. The Tornado ride at i-City Theme Park does sound fun. I love light displays so would love to walk through the City of Digital Lights. Thanks for sharing this.
I like that I-city theme park has so much to offer. The Snowalk is surely one of the favorites there because Malaysia is tropical. Locals would love to see real snow and get to play with it. Those who wanted to cool off will very much love Water World and kids will go gaga at Fun World for sure! Me, I would love to see Red Carpet, it reminds me of Madame Tussaud’s
