Themed Hotel Rooms in Narendra Bhawan Bikaner
We all like to return to a moment, that long forgotten moment we cast aside years back as a child. As adults don’t we crave for such themed room?! Themed hotel rooms for adults allow that! At Narendra Bhawan in Bikaner the themed hotel rooms transport you back to an era when princes of India were taking over the new independent India.
We all have heroes and sheroes in our lives whom we dream to merge in to. Many hotels in India today provide this ambiance, the opportunity to their guests to live that dream life in their specially designed theme rooms. Rooms themed on movies are a great hit with guests.
Children are the pampered lot. Themed hotel rooms for kids have existed for a long time now. I remember a room in a hotel in Evora, Portugal where I stayed with my family, had the kids’ room themed on Barbie. My daughters had already crossed that age of playing with Barbie dolls yet they enjoyed the ambiance of that cute little room. I could clearly see how they were drawn back to memories of those single digit years.
So, yes fantasy themed hotel rooms are magical and much sought after!
Themed Hotel Rooms in Narendra Bhawan
Folks at Narendra Bhawan Hotel have taken this concept of theme rooms and hospitality up a notch. They have introduced themed hotel rooms in Bikaner Rajasthan. Based on ‘meditations of life’ it is a bit more specific and royal.
Focusing on life as led by Maharaja Narendra Singhji, the last king of Bikaner India. “There are 3 Grand Essentials of Life and the designs are based on these 3 essentials as led by the Maharaja Himself.” explains Siddharth Yadav, the Vice President MRS Group of Hotels as he takes us on a tour through the newly launched themed hotel rooms in Narendra Bhawan.
Something to Do
As humans we all want something to do, something meaningful, in life. Young prince Narendra Singh too starts his life’s journey with same thoughts. He becomes a man of the army. It goes back to the days when Prince Narendra Singh is enrolled in Royal Military Academy London, as was customary for all princes to join then. The stately Regimental Room reflects a ceremonial order that appealed instinctively to the military man.
It is interesting to note how the room is laid out. Elements of army regalia are sensitively interspersed with modern conveniences and sufficient care taken to incorporate uniformity and symmetry. All this is accompanied by themed food having canapés and cocktails. And then follows a stately lunch with the Military Band.
Something to Love
We all look for something to love and pursue in life. So did the Prince. He has returned from RMA and is a seasoned public figure. He wholeheartedly embraces the democratic republic that is young India. He loves his country. Even though fashioned as the cosmopolitan traveler he takes pride in everything quintessentially Indian.
The India Room is a cocoon where comfort and contentment are accentuated. You will find this themed hotel room curated primarily in Indigo – which was the symbolic color of India. The spinning wheel here is a great reminder of past times. They serve you Champagne and Mini Eats followed by an Imperial Dinner.
Something to Hope For
This is the 3rd grand essential of life! A proud Indian, the Maharaja is greatly inspired by Le Corbusier’s blueprint of Chandigarh. This city symbolizes India disengaging from a colonial past and stepping out into a modern world. The room is dedication to an architect.
Republic Room has a dramatic space inspired by an era when great architects of India created arenas that were startlingly new. The furniture here is kind of geometrically aligned, all straight lines! Motif on the walls of this room are cloud patterns. This is similar to that you will find in Badal Mahal of Junagarh Fort. A glass of effervescent Mimosas is the prelude to a celebratory picnic in banks of Indira Gandhi canal. The canal is the lifeline of Bikaner and a marvel of resurgent India.
Gourmet food served here is amazing! Menu at the picnic was entirely novel. Tinned artichokes here are the finest I have ever had. Sandwiches and cheese presented in all possible variations and combinations. These and there are more.
Each category of themed hotel rooms in Narendra Bhawan thus corresponds to a particular stage in Maharaja’s life. There is a specially curated meal and experience with each category of room. So rightly titled The Grand Essentials of Life! You can check the rates and availability at their site: Narendra Bhawan
There are not many themes based hotel rooms in India yet, the concept has to get more popular though the theme based hotels in California and other places are popular and highly in demand. Have you stayed in any themed hotel rooms in India? Please let me know in my comment box.

Very cool. The themes take hotel stays to another level.
This hotel is so cool and your story telling is wonderful. I learned so much about the Maharaja and his life and the details that were included in the design were subtle and wonderful.
This hotel is so cool! If there is one thing I love, it’s a theme. Themed parties, theme parks, themed rooms. If I ever go to India I’m totally going to check this place out first.
The ambiance created with this theme is really worth an experience.
I tend to appreciate themed rooms (as long as they’re not disturbing). These rooms seem interesting, but livable. I love this concept!
Yes Esse jarring themes are slightly disturbing. But these ones are bold concept and interesting too.
i loved themed rooms – they’re so fun to explore and appreciate!
Agree with you Tara.
I like a hotel that has a theme as well, it make your stay more interesting. The different room themes make it even better so you could have a different experience in every room.
