Faces of India – 303 from Kurseong, West Bengal
Faces of India
a series through which I intend to portray the various characters of my country whom I met during my travels. I bring back souvenirs, frozen moments from my travels, why not some memories of people I have met and interacted during the travels. Faces of India is a weekly series in my blog since MARCH 2011. See more here…
Meet Pradyuptman, a security guard in one of the tea factories of Kurseong. He has been doing this work for 35 years! His children, a daughter and son are both married and settled. When I asked whether he likes his work… he replied there is no like or dislike. “I know this work and I am doing it and will continue to do it.”
Often life keeps us so busy that we fail to pause and ponder whether we like what we are doing! Right?
Nice portrait. It’s really is a good idea to capture the face of the people who represents the destination.
An honest humble portrait…very true, sometimes we need to push the pause button. But I guess everyone is not bestowed with this luxury 🙂
Yes I agree that is a luxury.
