I usually don’t plan outfits for a trip . Normally I just pack based on the destination or journey and the weather . But for a cruise I felt that I would change my wardrobe a bit . I decided to pack flowy cotton and shirt dresses and flowy silk kaftans as well . Blue and greens were my favorite shades to go with the theme of the oceans. For the evenings I had one formal dress else I chose most of them to be casual and classy. They give a feel of the beach but also befits a premium luxury cruise liner.
We are not fashionistas and we are essentially travelers and sometimes it does get initimidating to plan outfits . For me fashion is more of comfort and travel is not about dressing up for parties or events . The clothes have to be brand Me as it has to speak my language as a traveller and be comfortable and practical and yet classy.
Some tips on What to Wear on a Cruise Ship
– Pack clothes that resonate with you and your personality so that you are comfortable and confident
– Pack fabrics that are flowy and that breathe easy
– Choose colors that are not too over the top but can blend with the oceans
– Add accessories that highlight the look
– And don’t dress up only for reels and videos
– Choose styles , fits and colors that work for you – be it ethnic or western and don’t just follow a trend
Be confident and flaunt yourself and don’t worry about what the world thinks . Be you.

When it comes to Cruise, the question of What to Wear arises as you would be on Sea for 4-5 days with just water around. And a Cruise with Ca sino, a mini theatre, a ballroom, a gaming section, high end restaurants with an eye-catching interior, the Clothes you wear has to match the vibe of a 5 star Cordelia Cruise.
We mixed the party wear garments with a little bit of Prints and summer colors added to our wardrobe for our Cruise Vacation. While watching the Broadway shows in the mini theatre and Cas ino we chose a Velvet Cocktail gown which added a little bit of Glamour and a sparkling look.
Around noon, it was a great time to click pictures in the Cruise and on the upper deck where I chose to wear Bright summer colors with V neck and a touch up of frills giving a basic summer vacation look, see to it that you pick up some bright colors like yellow, pink, sky blue and beige. Also adding a Hat in your collection is an icing on the cake where you can print your own name with embroidery.
For evening live shows and sundowner shows on Cruise an off shoulder dress or a Party wear t-shirt with fancy shorts will glam up the look, you can choose a combo of black and white, white and yellow or mix and match the light colors with dark shades.
If you have a halt at Lakshadweep with your cruise you can choose to wear short dresses, I chose a vibrant pink short dress with balloon sleeves with vintage print on it and comfortable shoes.
Avoid dull Colors, make sure your outfit matches the crystal clear water of Lakshadweep and you get the best memorable pictures.

You are all set to board a luxurious cruise but still figuring out what to pack to wear on a cruise trip? Don’t worry. I’ve got it all sorted for you.
1. Smart casuals – The key is to wear something you are comfortable in. I love wearing summer dresses and maxi dresses. A bit of color pop for bright colorful pictures.
2. Formal dinners – Bring out the party dresses or a playsuit. I love to add some bling and I am good to go! Heels and accessories immediately spruce up an outfit.
3. Swimwear – I love days by the pool, swimming, or just soaking in the sun with a drink in hand. A nice floral swimsuit or bikini and a cover-up. I never forget my sunscreen, hat, and sunglasses.
4. Excursions – The excursion day would involve a lot of walking, I prefer to dress according to the place and temperature. A summer dress, shorts, linen trousers, and a tank top would be my choice. A pair of comfortable shoes for exploring at ease
5. Activewear – A pair of activewear for the gym, Zumba, and adventure activities like rock climbing.

The cruise experience is entirely different from the other travel experiences, given the time you spend on the cruise. With a lot of activities and events, the cruise is always buzzing with excitement, enthusiasm, and energy. It’s important to dress appropriately and at the same time maintain fashion for cruises, not only to be a part of every event but also to make a perfect impression and feel great about yourself.
Some essential outfits that must be a part of your packing list for a cruise trip are –
1. Few casual outfits to wear during the daytime. You may include comfortable shift dresses, jumpsuits, t-shirts & shorts, Hi- waist palazzos, etc. Don’t forget to pair them up with a trendy hat & sunglasses.
2. For the evening events like theatre or musical performance, include full-length gowns or flowy dresses.
3. For the cocktail dinners, try out classy party dresses paired with some elegant Jewellery.
4. Apart from these, don’t forget to carry your swimsuit, sarong, active wear (if you plan to visit the gym) and a shrug or a jacket (It may get cold inside the ship)
Conclusion
It is a good thing that Cordelia Cruises doesn’t have a strict dress code to be followed while onboard. Bring in your comfortable clothes to wear in dining areas, for evenings when music and dance is on, swim wear for the pool, good walking shoes and gym wear in case you want to exercise.
