The Royale Bintang Hotel Penang in Malaysia
During our tour of Penang, Malaysia we were put up in The Royale Bintang Hotel! I spent cool two nights there; it was warm, cosy experience. Tired after the flight from Bangalore, I found the ambiance of the room soothing and welcoming. I stepped into the decently attired room with soft colors, not too cluttered, yet with a place for every necessary item. The bathroom too was well stuffed with toiletries. Good wifi connection enabled me to whatsapp my near and dear ones about my safe arrival, after that I sunk into bed and passed off to deep slumber.
Royale Bintang Hotel Penang – Location
The location of the hotel is good with absolutely no traffic noise at night. It is in the vicinity of the old and historical part of George Town. A well planned walking tour to these areas is possible from here. The HOHO bus too has a stop right in front of the Royale Bintang Hotel Penang. The other sightseeing places around the hotel are: Esplanade, Fort Cornwallis, Little India and Armenian Street.
I found The Royale Bintang Hotel Penang staff is very courteous! Breakfast is elaborate and at the end of my first morning I was bursting! They have tried to maintain a good spread of different cuisines, but I headed to their local cuisine counter both mornings! Malayan cuisine has rice in its various preparations. There are veg dishes with plenty of greens and also fish and other non veg items. I didn’t go in for the Indian bread and its accompanying stuffs after these. This dining part is housed in the older part of the hotel. It is an English style building with windows decorated with flowering plants in the cute window boxes.
I wish to rate it 4.5/5.
