Faces of India – 263, Karnataka CM Siddaramaiah
Faces of India
a series through which I intend to portray the various characters of my country whom I met during my travels. I bring back souvenirs, frozen moments from my travels, why not some memories of people I have met and interacted during the travels. Faces of India is a weekly series in my blog since MARCH 2011. See more here…
He is Chief Minister Siddaramaiah of Karnataka (April 2016), India. I got the golden opportunity of taking his photograph when he came to inaugurate the Grand Mercure Hotel of Mysuru. I was there on assignment to do the newly opened hotel’s review. I had plans to take more good pictures of him but had to be satisfied with this one. Karnataka CM Siddaramaiah came and went like a breeze from the event! He was there at the event for hardly ten minutes. He cut the ribbon and unveiled the foundation plaque of the hotel.
While we all expected him to speak a few words to the crowd that gathered there he bid goodbye to us. All of us were a bit disappointed. This event was some how fitted in to his busy schedule. I must say the hotel and hotel staff is lucky to have such an esteemed guest to the event even though it was for just 10 minutes.
Great that you were able to take this picture! Nice that he was there for a brief moment when you were doing your hotel review!
nice capture
You managed to get a clear and good pic within 10mins amongst all that buzz is a feat in itself 🙂 xx
He looks happy and cheerful.
You are lucky to capture his photo with smiling face. Most of the photographers have captured his photo in sleeping posture 🙂
Wonderful capture 🙂
Well captured the ‘Kodak Moment.’ It reminds me of old Kodak ads 🙂
Nice capture. Did he show you his wrist watch that made him more popular?
Ha ha… no sir!
you were really fortunate to click him so easily . would not say anything about him , sorry .
It is a good picture! How was the security?
Hi Mridula, we did see plenty of uniformed people all around doing their duty. Everything went smoothly, there were no issues. 🙂
Well done!!
A very bright & cheerful face 🙂
That photo almost looks like an oil painting…
Wow..five minutes and you get lucky to have a clear shot of him. Great skills as a shutterbug to capture it right before the moment vanishes 🙂
Beautiful portrait!
Good portrait. I love seeing the different people you photograph.
Great portrait and you got a clear shot on him, despite, which I supposed, should be a crowded event!
Nice portrait of a very busy man.
He must have been pleased. Did you tell him about this series that deserves a show?
Ha ha where will he have the time for a blogger like me. 🙂
Thank you for the good thought Cloudia.
Well it is obvious. He has many important jobs to do than this. Great that you could click such a lovely close up.
