Flowers of Yercaud Botanical Garden Tamil Nadu
Flowers have a language of their own and those who love flowers know this! You have one for every sentiment of yours and one for every occasion: love, humility, truth, longing, peace, memories and even retirement! I found their silent eloquence is unbeatable in Yercaud Botanical Garden.
Flowers of Yercaud Botanical Garden
When we halted the Horticultural research center at Yercaud, we didn’t have the slightest inkling of the huge collection of plants and flowers we would find there. I had my Canon PowerShot A540, 6.0 Mega Pixels and 4x Optical Zoom. I used SCN Foliage shooting mode for most of the clicks and I got some memorable pictures. Here they are…
Early Blue Violets
Small wild flowers, they grow very low to the ground in grasslands and open slopes.

Early Blue Violet
Red Bottle Brush Flowers
Scientific name is Callistemon. Next time I intend to take a closer shot of a similar flower. The inner arrangement of the flower is inviting!

Fire Sparks
White Daisy

Asclepias tuberosa – Butterfly Milkweed
Lovely orange colored flowers looking like little dancing girls.

Orange Dancing Fairies
Arum Lily – Calla Lily
This single flower caught my attention. I experimented by focusing deep in to the flower….

Inside…

Big wide mouthed Hi!

Gentle Mauve
Impatiens Walleriana
It is also known as busy Lizzie, balsam, sultana, or simply impatiens.

Such beauties, so deliectable. Thought I would share pictures of my sister’s garden near Siliguri. She has some beauties. too.
That was a visual delight! Wonder why it was removed!
At times, pictures speak louder than words!
