Faces of India – 91 Local Farmer with Fresh Guavas
A local farmer, she was selling guavas from her farm in a tourist spot in Andhra Pradesh. I bought fresh guavas from her. She sets up this small shop on the roadside. Sometimes her grandson accompanies her. I managed to get him smile for me.
I feel we must encourage such sellers. They sell their farm produce directly so more chances of the food being fresh. We can support local farmers. Buying local food is responsible tourism.
Faces of India
a series through which I intend to portray the various characters of my country whom I met during my travels. I bring back souvenirs, frozen moments from my travels, why not some memories of people I have met and interacted during the travels. Faces of India is a weekly series in my blog since MARCH 2011. See more here…

It is interesting to see how people in other countries live so this is an intriguing series to me.
The little fellow looks so happy and innocent, completely oblivious of the hardships his mom has to undergo to earn a living.
