Faces of India – 75 Gotipua Dancer from Orissa
A dancer boy dressed as girl from Orissa for Gotipua, a traditional Oriya dance performance in Bangalore. This is usually performed by young boys dressed up in female costumes.
Bandha Nritya (Acrobatic dance), the most captivating part of Gotipua is done very well by these boys. The acrobatic postures on the dance depict pastimes of Lord Krishna.
