Faces of India – 73 Sculptor at Stone Exhibition in Tumkur
A sculptor with his works. I met him at Stona, a Stone Exhibition held in Tumkur, Karnataka.
The exhibition is held once every two years and I never miss the opportunity to visit it. A variety of stone slabs, different stone designing projects, machines and equipment required for smooth cutting, polishing and maintenance of stones are displayed. Many artists too put their work of art in stone for sale.
Faces of India,
Faces of India is a series through which I intend to portray the various characters of my country whom I met during my travels. I bring back souvenirs, frozen moments from my travels, why not some memories of people I have met and interacted during the travels. Faces of India is a weekly series in my blog since MARCH 2011. See more here…

Very nice portrait of sculptor. I also like very much his works. Have a beautiful new week, ciao!
The truth is that it's a wonderful picture, for the portrait and capture the beautiful sculptures. I wish you a happy Sunday.
Nicely composed!
Great idea for a lively picture .
A handsome man with a vision. Great stuff.
(I am intrigued by the covering on the windows behind him. It creates a wonderful texture.)
Creating life.
Please have a good new month ahead.
Great shot of the sculptor and his art looks very good from what I can see of it.
Brilliant sculptures.
Hilary, I always take permission to photograph. May be one odd one may be a candid one without permission. This one is with consent. I have
55 – 250mm. so I can't get good captures from far for faces.
Liebe Indrani, ich mag diese Deine Fotoserie. Immer wider überrachst Du mmit wunderbaren Charakteren…
