Faces of India – 69 Souvenir Seller Mahabalipuram
Faces of India,
Faces of India is a series through which I intend to portray the various characters of my country whom I met during my travels. I bring back souvenirs, frozen moments from my travels, why not some memories of people I have met and interacted during the travels. Faces of India is a weekly series in my blog since MARCH 2011. Making her living by selling beads and shells. Shot taken in Mahabalipuram, Tamil Nadu.
All said and done she is making a honest living.
Good shot. Probably they belong to a particular gypsy community. I was aware of their settlements. I need to refresh myself.
i love what she's selling,
i think i would've bought a trinket or two. ^0^
She looks tired, even a little bit sad, she is probably a mother trying to earn money for her children. On the other hand, she is beautiful and elegant like many Indian women. I love India.
She's beautiful.
Another fantastic portrait.
Hello Indrani!
You post some lovely photos. This woman's face looks sad, especially in contrast to her vibrantly colourful clothes and wares

What a fabulous face!
I hope the lady will be able to earn for a living!Compliments
She looks like an office goer with her bag straddling on her shoulder and hair all neat and tidy.
Determined and hopeful
Love her face
