Faces of India – 55 Tourist with Elephant in Dubbare
Isn’t she brave? She stood so close to the elephants to take their shots. I maintained a distance. The picture was taken in Dubbare Elephant camp in Coorg, Karnataka
Faces of India,
Faces of India is a series through which I intend to portray the various characters of my country whom I met during my travels. I bring back souvenirs, frozen moments from my travels, why not some memories of people I have met and interacted during the travels. Faces of India is a weekly series in my blog since MARCH 2011. See more here…
The elephant seems to be peering into her view finder to see how she did!
I love this shot!
Oh but that makes such a lovely shot.
haha! i'd be so darn scared if i were there, i can't stop my "eeeps! yikes! "
yup! brave she is. ^0^
She IS brave….. and it also looks like the elephant is looking at the LED screen and is not happy 🙂
Brave indeed. And her concentration is so deep & ressolute !
It's really a fine portrait, Indrani. So joyful and spontaneous!
As huge as they are, elephants most often seem to be gentle creatures. I love them. You got such a lovely shot, Indrani.
Brave and beautiful. Great shot!
I'm really scared to even offer them bananas! This looks lovely candid shot Indrani!
lovely picture
Nice photo, looks like a very calm elephant.
Look at the excitement in your friend's face, I guess I too behave similarly around elephants, in fact I just love to get ashirwad from them whenever I see them in temples:)
Just lovely! Looks as if the elephant behind is going to give her a kiss.
It looks as if the elephant is also checking out the picture she's taken. The smile on her face is enchanting. I really like this portrait.
