Faces of India – 49 Member from Other Gender
My guess is: she is a he who is a she… confusing. Anyways I clicked. Shot taken at a roadshow in Hyderabad, Andhra Pradesh.
Faces of India
a series through which I intend to portray the various characters of my country whom I met during my travels. I bring back souvenirs, frozen moments from my travels, why not some memories of people I have met and interacted during the travels. Faces of India is a weekly series in my blog since MARCH 2011. See more here…
I love the capture, there is life in the pic, and I can actually feel the subject swaying! 🙂
Do stop by my blog! Kappu
On any ocassion?
That color of the saree I really like. And the makeup is interesting too.
me too!
i was a bit confused there, till i read further.
anyways, it was a wonderful snap
whether it's a he or she.
Nice expressive face & elegantly dressed in saree. This minority (he-she) group is still much maligned and considered outcasts in most parts of India.
Beautiful.. what a lovely series to have.. so many peole .so many faces ..so many emotions..great to have somebody capture them.
"she is a he who is a she". Beautiful way of describing them. Facial expressions have come out so well.
nice intense make up..This he/she is beautiful!
Fascinating and beautiful and intense. The face behind her seems quite intense, too.
He/she is beautiful and you capture her so beautiful, Indrani!
Greetings from Holland,
Anna :-))
Yet another good capture
I'm not at all confused about the fact that this is a marvelous portrait.
Fantastisch liebe Indrani, ein sehr schönes Foto…

Quite possible Aarti. There were many of them.
Was this a festival for the transgender? She looks all decked up..
He or she, I love the Sari !
A lovely photo Indrani.
I love the beauty of this photo. Beautiful, is one of my favorite faces.
right guess and nice shot!
Anyone can look lovely in a saree. Here's one!
A great image, colorful. Do males take on the roles of females sometimes when dancing? In England we used to go to Pantomimes and the male lead role was always played by a female.
I think you're right, Indrani, and that makes your capture even more intriguing! I love it and the costume, the colors and make-up! Fascinating and beautiful! Hope your weekend is going well! Enjoy!
