Faces of India – 224 Malayali Woodcutter Gathering Firewood
I was on a day’s trip to Thiruvananthapuram, Kerala last Saturday. It was for my college get together, so didn’t have sufficient time to do sightseeing. But I managed to capture a couple of faces for my FOI series.
Here is Malayali woodcutter or may be gatherer firewood who seemed to be in a hurry. He didn’t look as if he minded my clicking. His bright red shirt made me wonder about his political affiliations. I wonder what he was thinking though.
Faces of India,
Faces of India is a series through which I intend to portray the various characters of my country whom I met during my travels. I bring back souvenirs, frozen moments from my travels, why not some memories of people I have met and interacted during the travels. Faces of India is a weekly series in my blog since MARCH 2011. Good capture !
Perfect shot Indrani ji.
His face does not give away what he was thinking, does it? Hmmm.
What an apt capture 🙂
Perfect capture!

Pleasant shooting of a man face, hard working face.
A wonderful portrait Indrani.
Simple and beautiful!
I gazed at his expression, Indrani and also wondered what he's thinking. Love this series. Have a great day. Jo
It seems he found right wood logs that he could easily carry on shoulder like the Kavadi! Nice click
Very nice as always!

This series must be a book!
Wonderful portrait! Says it all!!
Honest and genuine face.
It's a nice effort to bring unknown person in light.. U know every face has it's own story and every eye has lots of say 🙂
