Faces of India – 170 Tourists of Goa Petting a Sleeping Dog
The things tourists do for photographing themselves!!! These tourists were petting a sleeping dog. I saw these two boys wake up this sleeping dog, pat it and pose with it. While his friends were taking his pics, I didn’t let the opportunity slip and framed them quickly. This picture was taken in Old Goa.
The dog seemed to enjoy every bit of the attention showered on it.
Faces of India,
Faces of India is a series through which I intend to portray the various characters of my country whom I met during my travels. I bring back souvenirs, frozen moments from my travels, why not some memories of people I have met and interacted during the travels. Faces of India is a weekly series in my blog since MARCH 2011. Did you know why dogs love getting cuddled?
Dogs cuddle to get warmth, to bond, and because it releases chemicals that make them feel good. Dog cuddles after meals equate a strong love between humans and dogs because this shows that your dog does not view you as just a feeding machine. Dogs that receive affection actually perform better on tasks.
I like how you have used the word "Characters"…..seems sarcastic 🙂
I'm back and hope to be visiting very frequently now! Love this shot! Made the dog happy.
Lovely candid street picture!
I love this series.
Nice candid!
Nice observation
What a good, tolerant dog. And all three make for some lovely faces for your series. Good catch.
A lovely photo Indrani. It doesn't look as though the dog minded being awakened and was enjoying the fuss.
Ha! You were quick to see a great opportunity for your camera. 🙂
It's a very cute dog. Have a great weekend!
Quick thinking got you a beautiful shot, Indrani. Thanks for sharing. Have a great weekend. Jo
Fresh and youthful..:)
i'd pet the dog, too. 🙂
The innocence and fun of little boys shine through their handsome faces. We love dogs, in part, for those things about us that they put up with! They keep us (or should keep us) humble.
Handsome young men, happy dog and a great capture for the day, Indrani, as always!! Hope you're enjoying your trip!!
