Faces of India – 168 Passenger of Shared Auto
Faces of India,
Faces of India is a series through which I intend to portray the various characters of my country whom I met during my travels. I bring back souvenirs, frozen moments from my travels, why not some memories of people I have met and interacted during the travels. Faces of India is a weekly series in my blog since MARCH 2011. See more here…
The old gentleman was waiting for more passengers. Instead of taking the back seat he seemed to be keen on sharing the driver’s seat. Till the auto rickshaw driver gets 3 or more passengers towards the same destination he will not start his vehicle. This is often the case with shared hiring autos.
I liked the look of (im)patience on his face. I took the pic from a distance and he isn’t aware of my act.
waiting for Driver ?
Hi friends, thank you very much for your comments!
Hi Flygirl, It was our independence day that day, so the auto rickshaw was decorated.
I love the angles of this shot. It says so much. Do the decorations on the bus have cultural significance?
Love the colorful auto, i guess all this contributes to our Indian tourism catch line- Incredible India.
Hope he doesn't have to wait too long. He seems in a hurry to go home.
Great shot. I always love your shots for this series.
This gentleman's facial expression says it all. You've captured another excellent photo in this series.
I really like this sort of photo where the subject is not aware that you are taking it. 😉
