Faces of India – 167 Flower Vendor in Chettinad
The only male flower seller I saw at a temple in Chettinad. He agreed for a photograph, as I was moving away I heard the women flower sellers teasing him: See how the lady photographer took only your picture. Later I tried to make up for it by taking a woman flower seller’s photo too.
Faces of India,
Faces of India is a series through which I intend to portray the various characters of my country whom I met during my travels. I bring back souvenirs, frozen moments from my travels, why not some memories of people I have met and interacted during the travels. Faces of India is a weekly series in my blog since MARCH 2011. See more here…
very nice
A reality at perfect juncture, the man and his profession. And, he says, "at last someone is taking my picture"!!!. Great.
He looks like he doesn't like being teased. 🙂
Nice portrait
He seems to enjoy his moment of fame…:)
Your series is a treasure

Those ladies' teasing sure got to him. I'm always interested when I see an Indian man wearing a bindi. I love your faces of India, Indrani and keep meaning to go through my archives for the faces [and children] of Africa photos I have stored there. Have a great weekend. Jo
Beautiful portrait and he's a familiar face! Sure he must be glad inside being shot at him alone 🙂
🙂 interesting expression
You know what, the minute I looked at his face, I thought "hey, he looks like a flower seller from down south"
Is it suggestive thinking? I don't know.
He does look just a bit concerned!! But a great shot as always, Indrani!! Hope your weekend is off to a great start!! Enjoy!!
he looks quite unsure about it. lovely blooms.
