Faces of India – 108 Friendly Tea Seller in Bankura
Faces of India,
Faces of India is a series through which I intend to portray the various characters of my country whom I met during my travels. I bring back souvenirs, frozen moments from my travels, why not some memories of people I have met and interacted during the travels. Faces of India is a weekly series in my blog since MARCH 2011. See more here…
Picture of a shop keeper, as I focused on him he shied away from looking at the lens.
We halted to have tea at his shop. After chatting up a bit about the local places worth seeing I took this picture. People around him were telling him: “Dadu (grandpa), you are soon going to be famous!”
Love this collection of amazing portraits!!
Dadu's face is full of expression if he tried not to look at the camera.
Nice! The candid shots are usually some of the best pictures.

Ah! Such a beautiful little story. And what an expression from Daddu 🙂
A warm and lovely face!
Even if he shied away, you got a great portrait.
I love this shot.
Oh, well done. It is strange the people who are scared of the camera.
Hi Indrani,
Nice to be over at your blog too 🙂
Oh yes…a face tells us a lot about a person, and who or what they are. I liked this image of an old man – he does have an expressive face.
Thanks for sharing 🙂
Indrani I love this image. I also love your Faces of India so much that a year or so ago, I started to look through my portrait photos for Faces of Africa. I have a folder of the ones I have so far and may also some day post them. Thanks for sharing. Greetings Jo
Satisfaction personified!

Another lovely portrait of this gentleman Indrani. His shyness of the camera is very sweet.
Another wonderful capture, Indrani! You can almost feel his discomfort — except for the presence of his grandchildren! Beautiful!
He has such a nice face.. too bad he shied away. I'll bet he has a charming smile.
