Faces of India – 339, from Dantewada, Chhattisgarh
Faces of India
a series through which I intend to portray the various characters of my country whom I met during my travels. I bring back souvenirs, frozen moments from my travels, why not some memories of people I have met and interacted during the travels. Faces of India is a weekly series in my blog since MARCH 2011. See more here…
Can you guess what he is doing? He caught me focusing on him on the mirror, turned around and gave me a wide grin. From behind I did guess he was grooming himself but I got to focusing on getting a sharp image first. Later I came around and saw he was shaving using the native shaving knives. One of those few times when I couldn’t ask anything, just watched him and took couple of pics. Check out the image with some photo treatment.
I met him in Dantewada Chhattisgarh.
on the blogging sphere after a very long time Indrani di. nothing has changed, your pictures and wordlessness still spellbound me :). Wish to be a regular visitor from now on.
A very nice set of pictures. 🙂

Pretty fascinating and love the way you have captured it 🙂

Thank you for sharing a bit about your culture. Nice post!
I love the images you captured of him- he looks totally at ease while shaving in front of you.
Great pics! The shaver he uses to groom himself is also interesting. I’ve never seen anything like it before.
This is such a neat post and series really. I love the idea of sharing about the many people of India.
Interesting! His expression itself shows his approval for photography 🙂
Nice pics.
