Faces of India – 279 Yuvraj Singh Indian International Cricketer
This week I have a famous sports personality for my faces of India series. He is Yuvraj Singh an Indian international cricketer. Add to that he is heart throb of many young girls, idol of many cricket fans and most important a cancer survivor! He has formed a charity foundation YOUWECAN, through which he works with underprivileged children who are fighting cancer. Yuvraj Singh offers them financial assistance through this foundation.
During the launch of OPPO F1s Selfie Expert, Yuvraj Singh had graced the occasion. OPPO had gifted the foundation Rs40lakhs (4 million INR) during the launch event. In the pic you see him receiving the check. I was way behind in the audience. Thanks to my zoom lens I could capture a decent shot. This picture is totally unedited. I could not meet him face to face, may be some day I will be able to meet and take a good portrait shot of him.

Wow, what a great guy! It’s amazing he’s able to use his personal experiences to help others.
I love learning the culture of a country through the leading figures of this country! Yuvraj seems such an inspiration figure and thanks to OPPO for granting him such grants! I bet it’s gonna make a difference!

Many sportsman care a lot about the community. Good on Yuvraj Singh. It is great to give back and good to have people still that cares and are in to influence their voice and reach to good use for an important cause!

Many of those sportsman, and several of them cancer survivor, are helping foundations. It’s absolutely a very good sign to everybody…to fight against deseases and offer our support as much as we can.
