Faces of India – 270
Faces of India,
a series through which I intend to portray the various characters of my country whom I met during my travels. See more here…
Belavadi village kids having a great time playing with a baby elephant! It is sculpted out of sandstone and is centuries old, but that hardly matters to them. I watched them play, climb up and down the little elephant, laughing and giggling away. It seemed much better than the plastic toy elephants kids of cities play with. The 3 of them in the front were posing for another tourist. The pic was taken in Sri Veeranarayana Temple complex.
Nice…happy to see kids enjoying!!!
Fun of childhood, miss those days….
I’d enjoy it too.
Such fun for the kids!
Great ! I actually enjoy your beautiful clicks always !!
Seriously cute. Love the way kids find stuff to play with.
I love these kind of shots that capture so much spontaneous joy that is the hallmark of childhood.
Nice pictures… cheerful and happy kids!!!
This click brings back memories from childhood. We had a installation near our home back in Bidar. It was a plaything for all the kids in neighborhood. Dadima told us it was part of the fort once.
It is good to see ASI actively rescuing and reclaming all structures with historical significance now. At least in Delhi NCR it is visible..the renovations carried out on a large scale. But it has yet to reach remote places I feel.
Awesome click
Very nice, refreshing pic! 🙂
Sweet.
And that’s a great piece of art — that little elephant.
What a great shot of these joyful children.
Great capture.. They seem to look so jolly 😀
I so agree it is so much more fun to play with this giant rather than small plastic toys!
They are certainly having a great time-yes,much better than the marketed toys.
Nice shot Indrani.
They are enjoying a lot. Hope we could play like this 🙂
The pic captures the essence of childhood!
nice picture
Wonderful shot on so many levels
Cute kids! They’re having fun.
Beautiful image of children playing naturally, Indrani. Much better than playing with technological toys: cell phones, i pads, etc. We see that too often here in South Africa. Thanks for sharing. Greetings Jo
Nice picture. They seem to be so happy.
