Faces of India – 268
Faces of India,
a series through which I intend to portray the various characters of my country whom I met during my travels. See more here…
Tired after a hard day or tired of waiting for some one? This picture was taken during our drive through Mandya road. I took the pic from my car when we had to halt in a traffic jam. I saw him sleeping on his hands holding on to the grill behind him. How long can anyone sleep like that, I wondered. Yet, he seemed to be in deep slumber amidst the noise of chaos around him. I continued to watch him for the couple of minutes we were stuck there in the traffic jam.
What do you think of him?
This shows that how a poor man relaxed after his hard work.
I think he looks much more relaxed than I ever feel in a big city.
It’s really an interesting capture!!!
This posture is a sure sign of the abject poverty he is in . Really moving picture .
God bless him.
If we are feeling tired , no need to have bed of roses for a snip !! Beautiful image
He looks tired after a hard day… 🙁
He looks like he is dressed to go somewhere or meet someone. Looks like he dozed off during the wait.
Such an interesting pic, Indrani.
Very fine portrait, Indrani.
I love this series and this time too you have added the write up so well to the picture Indrani 🙂
I always wonder how people fall asleep even amidst all the din!
Nice picture. That’s the posture you get to see of people taking to hard labor.
Good shot Indrani. Perhaps he represents a majority who at his age need rest and care.
He looks tired after a hard day at work!! Poignant and moving picture of the labor!!
Sure looks tired. Well captured!
Lovely capture!
Interesting portrait! He seem to be tired…
He is tired of life’s struggles….i think so. have faced so many obstacles and problems that sleeping this way is a very easy thing for him.
I envy his ability to sleep under those circumstances, but I do think this is a fascinating portrait and character study.
He looks like he’s being to go sleep, or being chained up.
nice picture
