Evora Inn Chiado Design Hotel Review: A Family Stay
My children and I enjoyed our stay at Evora Inn Chiado Design Hotel in Évora, Portugal. After visiting the famous Chapel of Bones (Capela dos Ossos), this relaxing stay felt like the perfect choice. Looking back, I feel it was a great decision to book this hotel. Here is my detailed Evora Inn review based on our experience on 21st May 2015.
Why Choose Evora Inn Chiado Design Hotel
Our night halt in Évora was memorable, thanks to the charming Evora Inn Chiado Design. This boutique-style hotel is ideally located at one end of Giraldo Square, right next to the Bank of Portugal. Its central position makes it easy to walk to all the major attractions of Évora Old Town, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. If you love staying in a historic setting with modern comfort, this place is perfect.
The Room at Evora Inn Chiado Design
The first feeling that swept me off my feet as I entered their family room was that I was in a child’s colorful room! Every piece of furniture was tastefully designed, colored and placed. The dressing table reminded me of human sized Barbie set. My teenage daughters too were thrilled. The room had windows overlooking the main square. Beds were well made and comfortable.

Love the room and the review! Definitely looks like somewhere we would want to stay at!
Wow your room is really vibrant! I love it! Iit has a very positive aura for me. However, the stairs might be a pain in the ass if you have a heavy luggage.
Great psychedelic wallpaper! Probably not a room to wake up in with a hangover though 😉 It’s annoying when you have to lug your bags up several flights of stairs but I guess it’s not always possible to install a lift. It looks like a lovely place to stay with a great view. My kids would like it.
I love the way the room has been made vibrantly colorful with that backdrop graphics and colorful curtains. Inspite of that, it still looks quiet warm and comfortable. I would love to stay here
The place looks comfy and warm and probably a great place to stay and set out to explore the places around. I was particularly fascinated by the vivid colour schemes in the room, makes the ambience quite lively.
despite the no lift it seems like a good choice, the location is a super plus!
Interesting room! A lot different from the rooms I’ve seen. Very colorful and happy looking hehe 😛
Evora Inn Chiado Design looks like a great choice, especially for a family. I loved the kid’s room so tastefully planned. Loved the colorful artwork and the barbie inspired mirror table is just stunning.
Colorful indeed! Don’t know much about Portugal but we’ll check it out! Thanks for the review!
Wow that room is colorful. I don’t mind taking the stairs but I know it can be tough when you are carrying a heavy bag. When I stayed in a hostel in Vietnam, I was carrying a backpack that might be heavier than me haha… Then my room was on the 6th floor. I don’t even know how I climbed it with that humongous bag. But yeah, never again.
Evora looks nice, and I like that they provide you with wifi. That’s important.
I am a lazy person. And with no lift, I am okay as long as the floor is max of 5 floors only. More than that, I’d kill my legs already and say that this is not a nice play to stay. But hey! I believe this is not bad at all. As long as you are comfortable and the service is great, you don’t have to worry at all.
Simply beautiful!
The room looks bright and colorful. Love the new look of your website, Indrani.

So we meet you on your new website! Hello here 🙂
The pictures of hotel look so pretty and cosy. But the no lift thing must have been a slight bummer I say!
Wow ! Lovely room. It looks so dreamy and colorful 🙂
Very vibrant. I guess the rooms colors would be perfect to refresh the mood and bring back the ‘child’ in you. Nice!
A girl’s dream house!
I loved the interiors of the hotel. So much of color block & color pop! 😀
A great review dear. Thanks for sharing!
The room looks so colorful and bright and the view from the room of the street below is also very beautiful.
Some times Old is beautiful… Just as this.
Very cool and colorful room! Nice view on the square… and your hotel should also be a building similar to those outside, right? Interesting to note patters along the streets. Amazing
Yes Jeevan, the room is similar to those in the pic from exteriors..
Glad you liked the pics. 🙂
Thanks!
Congrats for your custom domain Indrani. I too just shifted ten days back. It will somehow affect the Alexa ranking and traffic as well. Best of luck…
That’s a cool look and neat porting. May be you can include an About section in the Menu and make the Menu prominent.
Thank you so much Somali for the valuable suggestion.
It will be added soon.
It looks like a lovely place and the rooms are colorful. I suppose these old buildings don’t come with lifts?
