Faces of India – 256 Bhelpuri seller in Tungabhadra Riverbank
Faces of India,
Faces of India is a series through which I intend to portray the various characters of my country whom I met during my travels. I bring back souvenirs, frozen moments from my travels, why not some memories of people I have met and interacted during the travels. Faces of India is a weekly series in my blog since MARCH 2011. See more here…
Meet a bhel puri (Indian snacks) seller in Tungabhadra Riverbank near Shimoga. That he was selling bhel puri didn’t surprise me but he being the only seller there surprised me. I saw him set up his table and arrange the various dabbas (vessels). Not many people were around, yet he seemed prepared for a good sale. It was just about 4.30 in the evening, may in another hour people would start trickling in to take a stroll along the bank. I couldn’t get myself to buy his bhel puri, instead bought some roasted groundnuts.
Typical Elderly Person’s face of India.. The look itself depicts the toughness of life passed thru’ and the valuable life experience accrued in the process. A nice Post, indrani!
