Wordless – 339

Inviting your captions and titles on my wordless Wednesday moments.

Do you see humor in everyday scenes of life? Or say in pictures around you? Do they provoke you to think? Unexpected, strange, incongruous or ironic things happen to all of us from time to time.

This photo project of mine with such captures is shared with you to create your own spontaneous puns and other verbal humor. #CaptionThis image is a meme in my blogs from August 2010. See other images here: Wordless Wednesday

River Cruise in Budapest

River cruise in Budapest on the enchanting Danube, drifting gently on the calm waters, you get to see the city from a different perspective. The panoramic tapestry of architectural marvels lining the riverbanks, the majestic Parliament building, the outline of Turul bird, all look so grand. As the boat glides under the iconic Chain Bridge, history whispers its tales through the stone arches. A sad reminder from past is the distant sights of shoes that line a small section of the Danube river bank.

The city’s essence unfolds in layers with each passing minute. The Buda Castle perched on the hillside casts its regal shadow, while the Fisherman’s Bastion enchants with its fairy tale-like towers. Bridges adorned with evening lights connect the city, creating a dazzling display against the night sky.

Yet, it’s not merely about sightseeing; it’s a symphony of senses if you are passing by the restaurants that line the river side. The gentle breeze carries the aroma of Hungarian cuisine from riverside restaurants, tempting taste buds with promises of paprika-laden delights.

The Budapest River cruise isn’t just a journey; it’s an immersion into the soul of a city, a canvas painted with the strokes of history, beauty, and timeless elegance.
