Sunbrella from Venice

Have you seen a “sunbrella”?

Carver coined this term for this umbrella from Venice. Walking along the narrow lanes of Venice, crossing the cute little bridges I came across this outgrown sunflower. I stared for some time trying to figure out “what?” and “why?” It was open and suspended outside a shut window. The umbrella was so bright and beautiful, as you can see, it attracted everybody’s attention. It was as if some display model there. But my guess is the umbrella was left for drying. What do you think?

I got some lovely captions on this image in my other blog frozen moments. You can read more here: Wordless 127.
