Royal Tulip The Act Sharjah, UAE – Hotel Review

Hotel Royal Tulip The Act in Sharjah was home to me for 5 consecutive days in the first week of February 2017. I was a part of bloggers team invited by Sharjah Tourism to attend the Sharjah light festival. During the entire period I had a very cosy comfortable stay in this hotel.

Rooms at Royal Tulip The Act Sharjah

Hotel Royal Tulip The Act Sharjah have a wide range of rooms at highest end being The Executive 3 Bedroom Suite Lagoon View with 2 King Beds and 2 Single Beds. I was put up at a Deluxe room with partial view of the Lagoon. Loved the big wide windows, the view of morning skies from bed was so refreshing.

Interiors of the room are simple yet stylish! Fully air conditioned, with bathrooms (with bathtub) stuffed with sufficient toiletries, robe and ironing board (a relief to see that as, however well packed my bag is they tend to get clumpy), the room had all. The TV lay unused though, instead of watching that I curled up on sofa with a book.

The breakfast buffet spreads were good. Rice based items too were served and that surprised me, as we Indians usually have it only for lunch and dinner, never for breakfast. Later I realized they were catering for international group which had come to witness the Sharjah Light Festival.

I loved the dips… so many varieties. I had a good time experimenting the combinations. Couple of days we had lunch too and both the days I gorged on sea food.

Other Facilities at Royal Tulip The Act Sharjah

The hotel has an impressive fitness center and spa, outdoor pool. Due to time crunch and several blogging activities I couldn’t experience any of these. But they do look good. They do have free parking facility, which I usually look out for when I travel.

Though the biggest plus is free wifi, we did face problems due to lack of it couple of days. A technical glitch which I guess can happen any time, but it was rectified too soon. The front desk staffs were cordial and apologetic about it.

Yes, they speak English.

Sight Seeing Locations Close by

The best part of Royal Tulip The Act is its location. Dubai, capital of UAE, is just 30minutes of driving distance. Khalid Lagoon, a natural wonder of Sharjah is just across the road.

Blue Souk, one of the most visited souk in Sharjah for gold purchases is at a walking distance from the hotel.

The Ottoman architectural style Al Noor mosque is at a 10 minutes walking distance. I cherish my walks in the night to photograph this beautiful monument flooded with light during the festival.

Then there are travel destinations like Desert Safari, museums, Aquariums all at driving distances and well connected by roads.

  • The location is often one of the most important things when we book. Being so close to Sharjah which has the old vibe and also Dubai makes it perfect 🙂

  • This looks like an amazing place to stay! I like the photos you posted of the surrounding lights in Dubai. It seems like such an exciting city. Too bad about the wifi but glad it all got sorted.

  • Seems like a convenient place to stay for a few nights. Sharjah sounds for me more interesting than Dubai. For some reason, I haven’t even considered going to the large metropole. 🙂

  • Love the view of the horizon in the evening. A great hotel with excellent facilities. I like the sightseeing options they are providing, they look pretty well thought out.

  • The rooms look cozy and comfortable. The view of morning sky is awe-inspiring. Wifi is definitely crucial wherever we travel, good to know that though there was a problem initially they were quick at resolving it. The Noor mosque inundated with colors is stunning. Thanks for sharing your experience.

  • What a great set up for the television in the room. I hate when they set it up facing the bed, so you are forced to lay in bed while you watch an evening program. This hotel looks like a great place to stay with lots of amenities.

  • A very well equipped hotel indeed. The room seems to have all the basics that one needs for a luxurious stay. The restaurant, gym, and all other facilities look wonderful. And the location is also an added plus.

  • The hotel looks luxurious with the fantastic amenities. The sunset view you have captured is really beautiful. Seems you had a wonderful time in Sharjah.

Wow the pool looks incredible. I feel like anything in the UAE is amazing so it’s no secret that most hotels have something awesome to share. The bed looks really comfortable which to me is a huge part. In Europe I feel like most hotel or AirBnB beds are not comfortable!
