Legoland Johor Bahru Malaysia: Amusement Theme Park

Yet another first for Malaysia! A Legoland Theme Park! I came across this place during my ongoing internet based research for travel destinations in Malaysia.

It is the first of its kind in Asia and sixth in the world! The park is designed for families with children ages three to thirteen and at the same time doesn’t fail to satisfy the child in every adult.

Not only does it cater to locals of Malaysia, it is strategically built in Johor which attracts tourists from Indonesia and Singapore. The theme Park was opened in September 2012.

Packed with shows and rides, it is a place where you get complete package of fun and interactive experience for the whole family. The park has sections catering to older and younger kids.

Interesting sights are replicas of Petrona’s twin towers built with lego bricks, and then there are replicas of Taj Mahal, Angkor Wat of Cambodia, and Beijing Bird’s Nest Stadium Merlion Statue of Singapore too. These are located at Legoland’s miniland.

Children will find the 4D theatre most fascinating. They can even earn a driving license which is recognized by Legoland worldwide.

The park is staffed well, smiling and attentive the guides are there to help you out. Food is available, food and beverage outlets are in air-conditioned buildings where you can take a rest before you plunge again for the rides in the park.

Tickets for Legoland Malaysia are RM140 (US$44) per adult and RM110 (US$35) per child.

Legoland Malaysia claims: “It takes twelve hours just to ride on all the LEGOLAND attractions, watch all the shows and 4D films and take part in all the workshops – and that is just the actual ride and performance time.”
