Graffiti, Street Art of Bratislava Slovakia

We walked through the streets of Bratislava on our own, with just a travel guide book. My first attention was caught by the street art on walls of Bratislava. Those walls of the street had colorful graffiti work.

Street art has always interested me; it seems to me the soul of the city is trying to express something. When I set foot on Bratislava I least expected to be greeted by colorful walls! These don’t seem like graffiti I thought, they seemed more like a child’s expression of a happy day filled with sunshine and friendly animals. The artwork added life to the crumbling walls there.

Alien?

Graffiti is often objected to because they are used as a medium to communicate views of dissent. They are used to prop up difficult questions to governing bodies and express their political concerns. It was considered an offence therefore.

The kind of street art I saw in Bratislava was different; more with childish innocence and wild imaginations. They just kept popping up at every turn we took. Soon I got clicking the walls infused with colorful life.
