Tulip Flowers from Mirabell Gardens: Bright and Colorful

Tulip Flowers of Mirabell Gardens were a real treat to eyes! Bright and beautiful there seemed to every variety – solids, striped, fringes and ruffles.

Tulips are known as peacocks and parrots of bulb world. Such varieties of colors, shapes and sizes! Assortment and arrangement of tulips is always a joy for the florists, interior decorators, landscapers and even for home makers.

I must mention here that there were different kinds of flowers in the beautiful Mirabell Garten. But somehow the different varieties of tulips blooming there fascinated me the most.

Golden Parade Tulip

Bright yellow in color, the Golden Parade Tulip, can uplift every gloomy mood. Bold ones, with long stalks they stood out distinctly in the colorful crowds of Tulips. Each tulip looked like giant goblet to me. These shots were taken in Mirabell Gardens, Salzburg, Austria.

Meaning of Yellow Tulips

Yellow tulips signify cheerfulness. Tulips are in general associated with spring and new life, so they make the best gift to symbolize affection and care to those recovering from illness.

It has slightly different shades of yellow on either side of the petals. While on the exterior it is soft buttercup yellow, inside it is a brighter shade of yellow with jet back center creating a striking contrast.

These are deep lilac pink in color, the edge has a pale color and the petals are squarish in form. Holland Beauty Tulip is a type of Triumph Tulip. Here are some pink tulips for you all. The shot taken in Mirabell Palace Gardens, Salzburg, Austria.

Pink tulips denote feelings of caring, perfect happiness, or well wishes. These are happy flowers that represent the finer things in life, an appropriate color choice for all occasions.

But the interesting fact about this tulip is that it seems to change color through the day. By evening it almost begins to look blue.

Pink Holland Beauty Tulip

Lustige Witwe Tulip Flower

This particular variety is double colored and with lot of googling for its name I came across the name: Lustwige Witwe Tulip. I am not sure if it is correct though. Readers, if any of you are aware of this variety’s name, please enlighten me too.

Bright red with white edge, this variety of tulip flowers well in sunny places. They can be grown in pots or on ground too. Other name for this is: Tulipa Merry Widow.
