Faces of India – 320, from Bikaner, Rajasthan

Faces of India

a series through which I intend to portray the various characters of my country whom I met during my travels. I bring back souvenirs, frozen moments from my travels, why not some memories of people I have met and interacted during the travels. Faces of India is a weekly series in my blog since MARCH 2011. Faces of India Painter

Could you guess what he must be working as?

I met him in Bhanda Shah Temple of Bikaner. When I saw him enter the temple I thought he was another regular local visiting the temple for daily prayers. But as he spread his tools of work I was amazed! He is a painter. Not the regular kind of painter but an artist. He and his friend have taken up the project of painting the interiors of the temple. Both together are going to repaint the ceilings, walls and doors. Have a look at the interiors of the temple and you will get an idea what an important job he is going to do.
