Faces of India – 258 Tourist at Ishwara Temple, Arasikere

Faces of India,

Faces of India is a series through which I intend to portray the various characters of my country whom I met during my travels. I bring back souvenirs, frozen moments from my travels, why not some memories of people I have met and interacted during the travels. Faces of India is a weekly series in my blog since MARCH 2011. He is one of those people who love to get photographed, so perfect for my faces of India series. Neither of us knew each other but the simplicity with which asked to be photographed touched me beyond words. He knew very well he wouldn’t get a copy of the pic yet he happily smiled at the idea of getting photographed.

He seemed mighty impressed with the Canon EOS 7D Mark II DSLR camera I was holding. He wanted to know its cost. After hearing the cost he said you must be definitely getting good pictures with such an expensive camera. I nodded in agreement.

I asked for his name and now I am able to recollect only the surname he mentioned ‘Gowda’. His family has been living in this village for three generations. I met this tourist in Ishwara Temple, Arasikere, Karnataka.
