Faces of India – 256 Bhelpuri seller in Tungabhadra Riverbank

Faces of India,

Faces of India is a series through which I intend to portray the various characters of my country whom I met during my travels. I bring back souvenirs, frozen moments from my travels, why not some memories of people I have met and interacted during the travels. Faces of India is a weekly series in my blog since MARCH 2011. Meet a bhel puri (Indian snacks) seller in Tungabhadra Riverbank near Shimoga. That he was selling bhel puri didn’t surprise me but he being the only seller there surprised me. I saw him set up his table and arrange the various dabbas (vessels). Not many people were around, yet he seemed prepared for a good sale. It was just about 4.30 in the evening, may in another hour people would start trickling in to take a stroll along the bank. I couldn’t get myself to buy his bhel puri, instead bought some roasted groundnuts.
