faces of India - 250

Today’s faces of India series features a young girl who wanted to be photographed with picture of Mahatma Gandhi. I had taken this in Sabarmati Ashram a few months back. Posting it today as the date coincides with Martyr’s Day. Martyrs day is celebrated on 30th of January every year as on the same day, Mahatma Gandhi (Bapuji) was assassinated in the year 1948 before the sunset during the evening prayers.

“The tyrant dies and his rule is over, the martyr dies and his rule begins.”
