Faces of India – 218 on Occasion of Father’s Day

Faces of India,

Faces of India is a series through which I intend to portray the various characters of my country whom I met during my travels. I bring back souvenirs, frozen moments from my travels, why not some memories of people I have met and interacted during the travels. Faces of India is a weekly series in my blog since MARCH 2011. Faces of India - 218 on Occasion of Father's Day

This picture is of an Indian traveler in Plaça de Catalunya in Barcelona Spain. The place is extremely lively at every hour of the day. Interested in people watching? Then this is the place.

This post is dedicated to Father’s Day being celebrated on 21st June. I saw this father and son intensely involved in this activity of bird feeding. The father was encouraging his young son to feed the pigeons with grains in his hand. The son too equally brave continued feeding the birds.

Father’s day was celebrated on the third Sunday of June for the first time in 1910. It was started by Sonora Smart Dodd who was the daughter of American Civil War veteran William Jackson Smart.

Do you remember any such moment in your life with your father?
