Faces of India, Male Nadaswaram Player

Faces of India is a series through which I intend to portray the various characters of my country whom I met during my travels. I bring back souvenirs, frozen moments from my travels, why not some memories of people I have met and interacted during the travels. Faces of India is a weekly series in my blog since MARCH 2011. A temple musician playing the Indian Nagaswaram, a wind instrument popular in south of India. It is also called Nadaswaram. Initially I thought of zooming into his face, but then decided to go for this composition. The shot was taken in a temple of Karaikudi, Tamil Nadu.

You can see a lady playing this instrument – Woman Nadaswaram Player
