Faces of India – 322, from Ikkeri, Karnataka

Faces of India

a series through which I intend to portray the various characters of my country whom I met during my travels. I bring back souvenirs, frozen moments from my travels, why not some memories of people I have met and interacted during the travels. Faces of India is a weekly series in my blog since MARCH 2011. Faces of India Karnataka

He is a temple guide of Aghoreshvara Temple in Ikkeri in Karnataka. If you are ever there search him out, he is a mine of information on the temple. However he is not very happy that all who visit the temple are not keen to know the history. People come, take photographs and go away. Only very few are able to relate to the history of the temple. For most tourists it is like any other hoysala temple in Karnataka. While he is sad about less income he seemed sadder that not many are willing to take the knowledge he wants to share.
