Faces of India – 303 from Kurseong, West Bengal

Faces of India

a series through which I intend to portray the various characters of my country whom I met during my travels. I bring back souvenirs, frozen moments from my travels, why not some memories of people I have met and interacted during the travels. Faces of India is a weekly series in my blog since MARCH 2011. Meet Pradyuptman, a security guard in one of the tea factories of Kurseong. He has been doing this work for 35 years! His children, a daughter and son are both married and settled. When I asked whether he likes his work… he replied there is no like or dislike. “I know this work and I am doing it and will continue to do it.”

Often life keeps us so busy that we fail to pause and ponder whether we like what we are doing! Right?
