Faces of India – 287 Rajasthani Musician

Faces of India

a series through which I intend to portray the various characters of my country whom I met during my travels. I bring back souvenirs, frozen moments from my travels, why not some memories of people I have met and interacted during the travels. Faces of India is a weekly series in my blog since MARCH 2011. Rajasthani Musician

Rajasthani Musician

He is Sumer Khan! He belongs to Bikaner, a city in the north of Rajasthan. Mr. Sumer Khan now works for Suryagarh Resort in Jaisalmer. Sumer is doing what he knows best, singing local songs and playing his flutes and morsing. In the mornings he sits by the window in the resort and plays his flute for at least a couple of hours when the guests are having their breakfast. His sweet music turns the whole atmosphere magical.

I have shared 2 videos of him, both are short ones. You can enjoy some authentic Rajasthani local music.
