Faces of india 270

Belavadi village kids having a great time playing with a baby elephant! It is sculpted out of sandstone and is centuries old, but that hardly matters to them. I watched them play, climb up and down the little elephant, laughing and giggling away. It seemed much better than the plastic toy elephants kids of cities play with. The 3 of them in the front were posing for another tourist. The pic was taken in Sri Veeranarayana Temple complex.
