Stay in Evora Inn Chiado Design Evora, Portugal, a Hotel Review

My children enjoyed their stay in Stay in Evora Inn Chiado Design hotel in Evora. I think it was a good decision to stay at that hotel. Here is a brief review on Evora Inn where I stayed on 21st May 2015.

Stay in Evora Inn Chiado Design

The night halt in Evora, Portugal is memorable because of the wonderful stay in Evora Inn Chiado Design hotel. It is a small cosy hotel, very ideally located at one end of Giraldo Square, near the Bank of Portugal. The position is such that it is within the walking distance of all sights that Evora old town has to offer. A cute little hotel in a historical setting!

The Room at Evora Inn Chiado Design

The first feeling that swept me off my feet as I entered their family room was that I was in a child’s colorful room! Every piece of furniture was tastefully designed, colored and placed. The dressing table reminded me of human sized Barbie set. My teenage daughters too were thrilled. The room had windows overlooking the main square. Beds were well made and comfortable.

An extra cot was provided in the double room. We were provided with wireless internet, cable television, private bathroom and air conditioning. Breakfast is available at the cafe next door, but we opted out of the breakfast offer and strolled along the streets for some local stuff. We got free parking space outside the city walls near the aqueduct.

The only downside if at all it is considered one is that there is no lift. So, the four of us climbed up the stairs with luggage to the third floor.

  • It looks like a lovely place and the rooms are colorful. I suppose these old buildings don’t come with lifts?

You are right Denise, old buildings don’t come with lifts.
Thank you for the visit and comment. 🙂

  • That’s a cool look and neat porting. May be you can include an About section in the Menu and make the Menu prominent.

Thank you so much Somali for the valuable suggestion.
      It will be added soon.

  • Very cool and colorful room! Nice view on the square… and your hotel should also be a building similar to those outside, right? Interesting to note patters along the streets. Amazing

  • Some times Old is beautiful… Just as this.

  • Congrats for your custom domain Indrani. I too just shifted ten days back. It will somehow affect the Alexa ranking and traffic as well. Best of luck…

  • A girl’s dream house!

  • The room looks so colorful and bright and the view from the room of the street below is also very beautiful.

  • Wow ! Lovely room. It looks so dreamy and colorful 🙂

  • So we meet you on your new website! Hello here 🙂

The pictures of hotel look so pretty and cosy. But the no lift thing must have been a slight bummer I say!

  • I loved the interiors of the hotel. So much of color block & color pop! 😀
A great review dear. Thanks for sharing!

what a lovely and beautiful place to stay . Honest review Indrani Ji .

  • The room looks bright and colorful. Love the new look of your website, Indrani.

  • I am a lazy person. And with no lift, I am okay as long as the floor is max of 5 floors only. More than that, I’d kill my legs already and say that this is not a nice play to stay. But hey! I believe this is not bad at all. As long as you are comfortable and the service is great, you don’t have to worry at all.

  • Wow that room is colorful. I don’t mind taking the stairs but I know it can be tough when you are carrying a heavy bag. When I stayed in a hostel in Vietnam, I was carrying a backpack that might be heavier than me haha… Then my room was on the 6th floor. I don’t even know how I climbed it with that humongous bag. But yeah, never again.

Evora looks nice, and I like that they provide you with wifi. That’s important.

  • Colorful indeed! Don’t know much about Portugal but we’ll check it out! Thanks for the review!

  • Evora Inn Chiado Design looks like a great choice, especially for a family. I loved the kid’s room so tastefully planned. Loved the colorful artwork and the barbie inspired mirror table is just stunning.

  • Interesting room! A lot different from the rooms I’ve seen. Very colorful and happy looking hehe 😛

  • despite the no lift it seems like a good choice, the location is a super plus!

  • The place looks comfy and warm and probably a great place to stay and set out to explore the places around. I was particularly fascinated by the vivid colour schemes in the room, makes the ambience quite lively.

  • I love the way the room has been made vibrantly colorful with that backdrop graphics and colorful curtains. Inspite of that, it still looks quiet warm and comfortable. I would love to stay here

  • Great psychedelic wallpaper! Probably not a room to wake up in with a hangover though 😉 It’s annoying when you have to lug your bags up several flights of stairs but I guess it’s not always possible to install a lift. It looks like a lovely place to stay with a great view. My kids would like it.

  • Wow your room is really vibrant! I love it! Iit has a very positive aura for me. However, the stairs might be a pain in the ass if you have a heavy luggage.

  • Love the room and the review! Definitely looks like somewhere we would want to stay at!
