Beaches Of Malaysia

Malaysia’s coastline on the South China Sea and the Straits of Malacca, offers thousands of beautiful beaches. The country has hundreds of tropical islands but the beaches here are different from the ones you get to see in other parts of the world. The color palette is different, with more of emerald green tinge nestled up against the lush green forests in the shore. The division between land and sea is sharper than the regular smooth continuum you see elsewhere.

Langkawi Islands

A collection of hundred islands, there are luxury hotels and budget motels here, plenty to choose from. Nearer to Thai border, this beach has a great laid back feel. It is believed that the beach has originated from the abundance of eagles on the island. The island has so many myths associated with it that it is also known as the ‘Legendary Island’. The cable car system here is the latest tourist attraction. Enjoy the 360 degree views from the cable cars!

Pangkor Island

This island is located off the coast of Perak. Pankor means ‘beautiful beach’ in Malay and you will agree how well the name suits. The main attraction here is: it features one of the most extravagant private beach resort in Malaysia. Therefore, it is understandably very popular with honeymooners and wedding troops. The island’s jungle is full of natural wildlife. Monkeys and hornbills can be easily spotted. Fresh fish available at dinner as you watch the sun set, relaxing on the white sandy beaches here.
